SO9233 : Ashchurch station, northward from road bridge

taken 55 years ago, near to Ashchurch, Gloucestershire, England

Ashchurch station, northward from road bridge
Ashchurch station, northward from road bridge
View northward from the A438 road bridge of the moribund (by now unstaffed?) station, bereft of its branch lines. The 'entrance' remains as it always was:- by the approach road on the left, then by walking over the Tewkesbury line tracks. There is now no signalbox - the last one (seen being built in SO9233 : Ashchurch Station, 1957) lasted only 10 years.
