taken 12 years ago, 3 km from Dibden, Hampshire, Great Britain

Ipley Cross, New Forest
Ipley Cross, New Forest
Looking down on Ipley Cross from the tumulus at the west end of the Marchwood Inclosure. The line of trees in the distance from right to left follows the course of the Beaulieu River. The line of trees from left to middle follows the course of a smaller (un-named) stream from Rushbush to the Beaulieu River. The parked car and people in fluorescent jackets are packing up as the light fails after an evening road cycle race. The reflective pool of water in the top left of the photo is Rushbush pond.
