The remains of old excavations along the strata can be seen. The straight rows of trees are planted on the bunds that screen the quarry. Beyond them is the River Teign. Catching the sun in the background is the old clay waste heap southwest of Newbridge Quarry SX8476 : Track into Newbridge ball clay quarry (2). The view is from the northwest corner of Binney Tip, another old clay waste heap SX8574 : Old clay waste heap northwest of Preston.
