Former school built in 1837 for Sir Robert Peel. No. 17 is whitewashed and has a large Gothic window in the gable, flanked by lower Tudor-headed window and door. No. 18 has been modernised. (ImagesofEngland) The Vertigo night club was the Boot Inn, and has also been the Bonds club.
