SU7423 : Statue in Rams Walk
near to Petersfield, Hampshire, Great Britain

Statue in Rams Walk.
The statue was created when Rams Walk shopping arcade opened in 1993. Intended to depict the town's connections with sheep farming on the South Downs, it was the source of some controversy when local farmers pointed out that this is the wrong breed of sheep, and the wrong type of sheep dog for this area! It's very rare to walk past this and find no one sitting on it and no kids climbing on it.
