Field barn and old hay-turner in hay meadow. Calcareous soil. Ancient Celtic terraces (lynchets) in background. Field barn dated 1755. Uncoursed rubble with troughs, stone quoins and stone slate roof. Three bays. Central waggon porch. Door to left has lintel carrying initials I H and date. Interior queen post roof. Byre to left. Set into hillside. A rare example of a dated mid-eighteenth century field barn.
