Footpath into part of Soothill Wood
Soothill Wood originally stretched for more than a kilometre in a curve around the northern edge of Soothill township. A small wood of mature trees survives at the eastern end, and here at the western end there is a plantation. The footpath is shown on the six-inch map of c.1850, and crosses the valley of Lady Anne Dike towards the site of Howley Hall.
