SE1719 : View from Round Hill Lane, Kirkheaton
near to Kirkheaton, Kirklees, Great Britain

View from Round Hill Lane, Kirkheaton
Not the most beautiful of views, but interesting. The Deighton primary sewage works is in the centre. This is where the screening and initial settlement of solid matter takes place. The secondary treatment takes place at Heaton Lodge and tertiary treatment at Cooper Bridge (assuming that things have not changed since I worked for Yorkshire Water). To the left, the footpath is not a right-of-way, but appears to be a permissive path leading into the Dalton Bank Nature Reserve. Beyond the sewage works there is a new business park, and beyond that the housing estates of Deighton. The southern end of the Poundstretcher warehouse is on the right.
