Water entering the Goit, Kirkstall, Leeds
The goit supplied water from the River Aire to Burley Mills (see SE2634 : Waterside Court, Kirkstall Road, Leeds). The wall in this picture has been installed, to block the end of the goit, and restrict the water, so it is now a largish stream, whereas at one time it was much broader and deeper.
