The Pennine Way takes a short-cut, Erringden
The Pennine Way takes a short-cut, Erringden
From a bridge over the River Calder it has followed a private road that is also a bridleway, but when the latter bends sharply to the right, the Pennine Way goes forward as a steep narrow path through the woodland. The path to the left is one of those unofficial paths that so often occur in woodland with de facto access.
