HY4949 : Fulmar nesting by a stile

near to Gayfield, Orkney Islands, Great Britain

Fulmar nesting by a stile
Fulmar nesting by a stile
Anyone crossing this stile from the other side is likely to get an unpleasant surprise when the fulmar spits its stomach oil at them. However there is a gap in the wall nearby, so the stile probably doesn't get much use.

The cliff edge of North Hill can be seen on the skyline. On the right is cairn on the Holm of Papa.
