SN4000 : Start of Saint Illtyd's Walk

taken 12 years ago, 3 km from Pembrey, Carmarthenshire/Sir Gaerfyrddin, Great Britain

Start of Saint Illtyd's Walk
Start of Saint Illtyd's Walk
Whenever I pull up the 50 or 25K maps from anywhere east of Llanelli and south of Brecon, half the time I see a public right of way with extra red diamonds drawn on it. They mark Saint Illtyd's Walk.
I know nothing at all about him, but can only guess that he didn't own a compass, since the path meanders considerably.
The starting point is here on the coast in Pembrey Country Park.
