Dining room at Llanthony Priory hotel

There has been a hotel here since the early C20, run for many years by the Knight family. Little has changed. There are few mod. cons., the stairway is a precipitous stone spiral and there are four-poster beds in the tower rooms. The dining room with its old-fashioned grate has long been a place for walkers, artists and country-lovers to come together at the end of the day to eat, drink and rest their weary legs. The old visitors' books hold the names of many celebrated guests.
