The docks are home to a variety of boats. This is the East Dock, now surrounded by exclusive flats; a view which I would not have imagined, when I visited in the summer of 1974.

I have some happy memories of this location, from the period 1980-2. As a member of the "Shanty Crew", I used to attend monthly song sessions (Sunday lunch-time) aboard one of the historic ships which used to be moored in this dock; fun in the summer months, but the winter months saw the frequent passing of the rum bottle.
