Wynford Eagle: postbox № DT2 26

This Edward VII-reign postbox has obviously seen some fairly recent damage, resulting in the loss of the door. Inside, we can see the barcode which the postman will scan at all official collection points – post office counters and business premises which receive collections have barcodes too.

Although there is no 'out of service' block in the posting slot, it is unlikely that anyone will post any items with such obvious protection against theft or – particularly on a day like today – weather!
