The inscription on this gravestone reads 'RICHARD WILLIAMS, CAPTAINS COXWAIN, HMS PORCUPINE,A faithful servant to his earthly master, 1861'.
He was buried such that his grave overlooks the Entrance/Exit from Portree Harbour and the way to the open sea.
