This is one of the two James Simpson built Worthington horizontal twin tandem triple expansion pumping engines that were formerly at Upper Cherry Garden Waterworks, Folkestone. Its twin is at Kew Bridge Steam Museum in store. These were the first of their type in the UK and are significant survivors.
