The Avenue, looking towards Temple Newsam House
The Avenue, looking towards Temple Newsam House
This is one of the vistas planned by Capability Brown when he landscaped Temple Newsam Park in the 1760s. The house is about a mile away. The people at the bottom of the hill are by the bridge over Avenue Ponds.
