Alexander Mackonochie memorial
Alexander Mackonochie memorial
Monument on Rannoch Moor. Could not quite read the inscription from the path alongside the Allt an Inbhir.

The monument is to The Rev. Alexander Mackonochie whose body was found here in 1887. He apparently got lost walking here. Alexander Mackonochie, an Anglican clergyman was quite a public figure at the time, repeatedly getting into hot water for High Church activities - ritualism.

Many thanks to David Clark for information.
