Ardstinchar Castle
Constructed in the 15th century by the Kennedy family, this castle became poorly maintained after a long-standing feud left the local branch of the family without the means to look after it. (Source: "The Castles of South West Scotland", by Mike Salter.) It's now totally ruined, with warning signs advising the public that they enter at their own risk.
