The path closed in the interests of public safety. I saw a police car leave the scene just before I arrived. Psychopath on the loose? Axe murderer? No, Eagle Owls nesting in the area. I understand they can be quite threatening when they have young and have attacked dogs and people. A debate rages about their liberty in the UK as there are quite few areas where they are breeding though they are non native and presumed to be escapees.
