The first really warm spring weather following the long cold winter of 2010, with the thermometer touching 20C, happened on a Saturday and brought out the crowds into any public open space such as Greenwich Park.

This part of the park is the site for the 2012 Olympic equestrian stadium. The Observatory building is in the background.
