SS6140 : St James's Church, Arlington

taken 14 years ago, near to Arlington, Devon, England

St James's Church, Arlington
St James's Church, Arlington
Not owned by the National Trust, but very much an estate church. The village, like so many in England, has disappeared, no doubt demolished to make way for the ornamental park. The church was rebuilt in 1846, and the tower in 1899, the latter being a copy of the original (information from Pevsner's Buildings of England).
