Pudding stone outcrop
Pudding stone outcrop
This conglomerate consists of rounded pebbles within a matrix of red sandstone (although with a purplish tinge); it is fairly common along the line of the Highland Boundary Fault (on which, see NS3482 : The summit of Gouk Hill; also, compare NS3482 : Rock outcrop near Ben Bowie).

The outcrop is located just to the south-east of NS3482 : Forest track near Gouk Hill, and is shown in context, in a view from that track, at NS3482 : View to rock outcrop beside forest track.
