Upper Hengwm valley
Upper Hengwm valley
The Afon Hengwm, surrounded by some serious bog, crosses this square from E to SW. One of its tributaries is cascading down the hillside opposite, which is part of the northeastern ridge of Plynlimon. The rest of the square is equally rough moorland, although less boggy than the valley bottom.
