Bridleway with oaks, near Titsey, Surrey
This old bridleway runs southeastwards from the village of Titsey to Oxted, crossing the M25 by a bridge, from which point it picks up the route of a long-distance path, (the Vanguard Way). According to the OS map, the bridleway should cross the infant River Eden just north of here, but the latter is nowhere in evidence - possibly a victim of climate change. Majestic oaks stand sentinel on this otherwise open section, and the North Downs form the horizon.
