Hut circle

This view shows the entire width of the hut circle, which is placed centrally in the photograph. Its right-hand side is overgrown, but the curving course of its southern half is clear to see on the left. The entrance to the structure was on the east (the near side). This site is located 390 metres SE of NS2973 : Lurg Moor Roman fortlet, but dates from an earlier period.

In the background, on the right, part of the Rosneath Peninsula is visible, with the Firth of Clyde in front of it and to its right, and the Gare Loch behind.
