Has a carved plaque above the door which reads 'This building was given to Hawkhurst by C.E.Gunther in memory of his sons Charles and Norman, who gave their lives in the war 1914-1918.' Also has TQ7630 : Plaque 1 on Hawkhurst Library and TQ7630 : Plaque 2 on Hawkhurst Library, on the left side of the library.
