Leat water crossing Creaber Pound
Leat water crossing Creaber Pound
Creaber Pound was one of the four major Dartmoor pounds for holding stray animals and lies just off the open moor near Gidleigh. This is a corner of it; the water comes from Gidleigh Common Leat, originally taken off the Gullaven Brook up on the moor. SX6688 : Leat water crossing Creaber Pound shows the scene in reverse.
