Field beans off Laming Gap Lane
Field beans off Laming Gap Lane
Looking very much like our garden broad beans, field beans used once to be called the "horse bean". The working horse is no longer around and so the bean crop may sometimes be used to feed other farm animals. The majority of our field bean crop is, however, exported to the Middle East and Central Europe.
