The Swan Pond at Culzean Castle Country Park was created by flooding a meadow and was originally intended for fishing and boating and was stocked with trout, perch and ruddy. Trout were raised at hatcheries on the Estate. Swan Pond Cottage and aviary can be seen across the pond.
