Mrs Amelia Margaretta Dixon left money in her estate for the erection of these four almshouses in 1910. The plaque on the central chimney reads ....

'My song shall always be of the loving kindness of the Lord. july 14 1910 Welbore Bp of Grantham Blessed these houses.

Herein let steadfast love abide
may joy and peace dwell side by side
and whatsoever shall befall
God's spirit rule and lead you all
Aim ever life to lead alright
make ready for God's cause to fight
Reject the ill, approve the just
armed eaqch one soberly in trust
Duty to do in every day
And so excel in honour's way'
