George VI postbox
George VI postbox at the Orry in Montgomery Street. This is the second oldest postbox in Eaglesham. There was a receiving house for post in the village from at least 1808. Letters from Glasgow arrived every evening and were despatched every morning from the receiving house at John Arneil's (Cross Keys Inn).
