St. Nicholas Church, Keyingham
St. Nicholas Church, Keyingham
The basic Norman structure of this ancient church has seen many alterations over the centuries. The tower collapsed when struck by lightning in 1392 and a 100 ft. spire was added during the repairs, but the spire was removed in 1969 to reduce the load on the tower.
