Bailiffs Sergeant, 30 Jefferstone Lane
The village of St. Mary's Bay, initially called Jesson, developed in the 20th century, and the early decades after the Second World War saw its heyday as a popular holiday resort. The changing fashion for holidays abroad contributed to the village's decline as a resort. Consequently it has lost most of the facilities one would expect in a resort. However the pub has survived. It used to be a farmhouse.
