NM7860 : Loch Sunart oakwoods

taken 12 years ago, near to Liddesdale, Highland, Great Britain

Loch Sunart oakwoods
Loch Sunart oakwoods
Oakwoods dropping to the loch. A remnant of the great oakwoods of western Britain. Strontian's mines would have needed a supply of timber and charcoal, they probably valued the trees here, hence their survival over a large area.
