My four-greats grandfather was living here in 1841. Well, not here, the fermer himsel stayed here - my ancestor stayed in the outbuildings with the other Baldrics. But between 1841 and 1851 the whole community was shifted down the hill because Queen Victoria, the imperious wee madam, decided she wanted the place for herself! Note the two doors - one for HM, the other for the servants.
