Former Toll House, North Dean Road, Greetland
The toll board is dated 1833, and bears the initials of
B. W. Kennett-Dawson, who was owner of the surrounding estate. It has evidently been updated as it includes charges for cars and motorcycles. The tolls were collected from traffic crossing the bridge over the River Calder until well into the 20C.
