North Cruadhach dam and Ben Aden
North Cruadhach dam and Ben Aden
Two short dams at the W end of Loch Quoich were necessary to contain the raised level caused by the main dam at the E end 14 km away. The Corbett Ben Aden rises above in this view.
Quoich Hydro
The two dams at the W end of Loch Quoich are necessary to contain the loch with the level raised by the main dam at the E end, 14 km away. Water flows from a tunnel near the main dam eastwards to the Quoich power station, 18 MW capacity, further down the glen. The water then enters Loch Garry, to give up further power on its route out via the Invergarry power station (20 MW).
