Pilgrims Trail on Twyford Down
Pilgrims Trail on Twyford Down
Just after the Pilgrims Trail footpath has crossed the M3 cutting east of St Catherine's Hill it climbs Twyford Down just north of the medieval hollow ways known as "The Dongas" (to the left of this photo). This part of Twyford Down is included in the St Catherines Hill nature reserve, managed by Hampshire Wildlife Trust, although it is annexed from the main body of the nature reserve by the M3 cutting.
