Playing Field, Carr Green School, Rastrick
The mysterious line and circle in the grass were no doubt provided for a sport. This area was a stone mine, in which shafts were dug to reach good quality stone underground. It has been landscaped, including terracing, to provide playing fields. The view is towards the flats in Chapel Croft.
