Weir across Clifton Beck, Clifton
Weir across Clifton Beck, Clifton
Just upstream of Clifton Road Bridge, of which one end of the arch can just be seen, there is a low weir, no longer in use. It was possibly used to measure the flow. Downstream of it the bed of the stream is paved with stone setts. Two pipes and a culvert discharge through the walls.
