Galloway Gate
Galloway Gate
An ancient road coming up from Garsdale. The name Galloway either refers to its use by Galloway pack horses or for droving Scottish cattle. This is taken from near the point where it meets the Coal Road going down into Dentdale at the junction with the Driving Road (droving road) going round Great Knoutberry to Arten Gill.
