Humber Bridge
Humber Bridge
Viewed from the site of the Barton Cement Works. The timbers in the foreground are the remains of the jetty from which the cement would have been shipped out in keels and sloops.
Because of the curvature of the earth, the tops of the towers are further apart than their feet, but you won't pick that up from this picture. The difference is only 1.4 inches!
