SU2502 : Duck Hole, New Forest

Duck Hole, New Forest
Duck Hole, New Forest
The vegetation zonation clearly shows where sandy heathland slope ends and valley mire begins. The brown heather is on the undulating north-west facing sides of the Wilverley Plain plateau. Duck Hole is a boggy valley, and here it has a line of trees following the stream down towards Ober Water.
