Ruined Glendorch
Ruined Glendorch
This was one of the so-called Bastle Houses, a simple fortified farmhouse which defended stock and inhabitants against the reivers of the borderland and Clydesdale. This one, at Glendorch, had a vaulted ground floor, used to store cattle, with the family living above.
