Bridleway repairs
Bridleway repairs
Work has just started on repairing this bridleway at Newby Head. The peat is dug down to a solid foundation before hardcore and then a smoother surface are laid down. Since this is on a Saturday, nobody is working.

Currently the bridleway only runs for a mile before reaching a dead end.

(A while after this picture was taken the bridleway was extended and has become part of the Pennine Bridleway.)
