St Mary's church in Crimplesham
St Mary's church in Crimplesham
St Mary's church stands on the site of an older place of worship. The building as we see it today was extensively restored in the late 19th century. The perhaps most interesting feature of the church is a 15th century rood screen > LinkExternal link with a dedicated inscription and carved floral decoration on the linenfold lower panels. It came from St Andrew's church in North Weald Basset, Essex, and now serves as the tower screen.
