NT7263 : Philip Burn

taken 8 years ago, 3 km from Ellemford, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

Philip Burn
Philip Burn
A cleugh falling off the Lammermuir Hills beneath Bushelhill. The burn forms the march between Berwickshire and East Lothian, although both sides are now administered by Scottish Borders Council.
There has been a lot of tree planting in the area, and the steep slopes on the East Lothian side (right of picture) have been planted with native trees, with a small field left on the flat land beside the burn. The opposite bank is heather moorland.
