The Bull's Head
The Bull's Head
One of the many attractive pubs near the Stratford on Avon Canal, the Bull's Head at the corner of Limekiln Lane was built in 1740 as accommodation for navvies engaged on the construction of the canal, and became a public house at the beginning of the 19th century. The ghost of a 17th-century lime worker is said to haunt the building. See also SP1274 : Pub sign for the Bull's Head.
